This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use the Service and explains your privacy rights and how the law protects you. Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Across borders: Personal Data may be stored or processed in the U.S., Canada, or other countries where we or our vendors operate. We use contractual, technical, and organizational measures to safeguard such transfers.

Use of Artificial Intelligence and Automated Systems

We use artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and other automated tools to help operate and improve our Services. These tools may be used for purposes such as:

  • Fraud detection and prevention.
  • Risk assessment and account security.
  • Personalizing and improving search results, recommendations, and user experience.
  • Content moderation (e.g., detecting prohibited content or unsafe behavior).

Human Oversight

Flight Club honors Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out signals.

We retain Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Typical retention periods include:

  • Transactional and tax records: at least 7 years.
  • Verification documents: shortest period required for compliance.
  • Messaging data: until disputes or claims are resolved.

Security and Breach Notification

We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect Personal Data. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and, where required, regulators such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC), the Alberta OIPC, or applicable U.S. authorities. We maintain breach records for at least 24 months, as required by Canadian law.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will delete it.
